Hello everyone,
Got an A520F stuck in the download mode state hoping to fix it. I am intermediate with Samsung / Odin software, I wanted to install the latest update via Odin but kept getting an error.
When I tried to flash an official ROM, Odin would fail with a "Secure check fail: pit" error on the phone and "Re-partition Operation Failed" on Odin. I went through some forums with people with similar issues and attempted to repartition with many of the PIT files from the CSC files but nothing helped. Do note the check box for Re-partition would not be ticked nor for Nand Erase.
I tried to root the device using "twrp-3.7.0_9-0-a5y17lte.img" but I'm still getting the same error and am stuck in download mode unable to access recovery as well.

When I looked up the IMEI I got this model name Model full name: SM-A520FZKAXFV hence why I tried to flash with these versions
"SM-A520F_XFV_A520FXXUCCSK1 / A520F_XFV_A520FXXUBCSJ1 / SM-A520F_XFV_A520FXXUGCTKA" using Odin v3.14.1/ Odin v3.13.2. Flashing with BL+AP+CP+CSC gives "Secure check fail: pit" I've even attempted with HOME_CSC (but nothing works either). I'll be attempting to flash with BTU Rom in the mean it while I wait for a response.
Does anyone have any idea what I could try? Is the pit error caused by using a ROM from the wrong region?
If so, is there any way I can tell which region the phone is asking me for?
