la methode vient de XDA
Successfull Re-Root
OK, got my root back without reflashing the whole ROM after the root was disabled by latest security policy updates (Settings->Lock screen and security->Other security settings->Security policy updates). I have disabled Automatic security policy updates now just in case. I tried to install SuperSU 2.73 zip from TWRP first, but it failed with the error saying it cannot restore boot image.
In case it could help for other people, here is what I did:
1. Flashed boot.img (extracted from downloaded firmware AP_***** file) to boot partition via TWRP
2. Re-flashed TWRP via Odin (because it was erased by previous step)
3. Re-applied SuperSU 2.73 from TWRP.
Here is the detailed description in case anyone needs it:
1. Found out that the root is gone (standard Samsung ROM with CFAutoroot applied on Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F))
2. Downloaded the same firmware as already on the phone from
(probably best to use the same region as well)
3. Unzipped file AP_*** (AP_G930FXXU1APD1_CL7538748_QB9125693_REV00_user_l ow_ship.tar.md5 in my case, it's the biggest one) from downloaded firmware zip
4. File AP_G930FXXU1APD1_CL7538748_QB9125693_REV00_user_lo w_ship.tar.md5 is an archive itself. Extracted file "boot.img" from it (about 36 MB in size) and copied it to phone's external SD card
5. Downloaded SuperSU 2.73 from this link and copied the downloaded zip to phone's external SD card
6. Downloaded the latest TWRP: .
More info here:
7. Put phone to download mode (Home+Power+Volume Down from powered down state) and installed "twrp-3.0.2-1-herolte.img.tar" via Odin
8. Booted to TWRP (Home+Power+Volume Up from powered down state), chose "Install", "Image" (bottom right) and then chose the SD card storage and previously saved boot.img, chose a boot partition as destinantion, then reboot
9. At this moment it's back to stock recovery (TWRP is erased) and phone gets into reboot loop. I just holded Power+Home+Volume Down to enter the download mode
10. Flashed TWRP via Odin again. The phone booted fine now
11. Rebooted to TWRP and flashed SuperSU 2.73 zip again. This time it succeeded, root was back, no data lost
